Dal 15 al 17 aprile, sul Canale YouTube ufficiale, il Rome Web Awards ha annunciato i vincitori dei Merit Awards, premi di merito assegnati alle categorie base e e alle catogorie tecniche.
In queste tre serate, la direzione del festival ha pubblicato i video realizzati in computer grafica, annunciando così i ben 257 vincitori scelti tra le 1155 nomination. Tutti i vincitori sono stati decisi da una giuria qualificata, tranne i 15 assegnati dai Media Partners dell’evento.
Per quanto riguarda i premi dei media partner, a noi di World Wide Webserie era stata assegnata la decisione per la “Best World Creation“, che abbiamo deciso di assegnare al webdoc Zyara, qualitativamente ottimo, con una fotografia molto curata e un’interessante tecnica “poetica” di ripresa e montaggio, che sviluppa un altrettanto interessante punto di vista culturale e antropologico, molto concettuale e particolare. La tecnica narrativa coinvolgente, amplificata da protagonisti profondi, con voci rilassanti e storie che vale la pena di ascoltare, l’elevata qualità tecnica e la bellissima rappresentazione del territorio libanese, unitamente alla capacità di coinvolgimento degli spettatori indipendentemente dal territorio e dalla cultura d’appartenenza, ci hanno convinti a premiare il webdoc come “Best World Creation”.
[English] World Wide Webserie was responsable for choosing the Best World Creation and we decided to award the web documentary Zyara, for its really high quality, its well-finished photography and its interesting technique of filming and editing, that develops an interesting point of view, both cultural and anthropological.
We found its narrative technique really engaging and, in our opinion, the engagement has been amplified by the depth of the characters, with their relaxing voices and their stories that are worth listening to.
For its high technique, the wonderful picture of the Lebanon that it gives, and for the capability of engaging the viewers independently from their own culture, we decided to award this web doc as the “Best World Creation”.
L’assegnazione dei Merit Awards non conclude però il Rome Web Awards 2016, che terminerà a fine maggio con l’assegnazione degli Excellence Awards (le cui nomination saranno rese note il 7 maggio e le premiazioni avverranno sempre online il 28 maggio), ai quali concorreranno tutti i vincitori dei premi di merito. Sarà “una gara serrata, che metterà a confronto diretto i migliori lavori di ogni categoria“, oltre che occasione per l’assegnazione delle ambite Golden Star alla carriera.
